The Hokim of Tashkent City met with a representative of Oppenheimer & Co

A meeting was held at the Tashkent City Hokimiyat between the Hokim of the city Shavkat Umurzakov and Max Lamy, Managing Director for Investment Banking covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Oppenheimer & Co.

📈During the dialogue, the opportunities for Tashkent to enter international capital markets, including the prospects for issuing municipal bonds, and the attraction of investments into large infrastructure and urban development projects were discussed.

▫️Special attention was also paid to the development of public-private partnership mechanisms, the effective use of international financing instruments, the study of advanced foreign experience in managing city finances and the enhancement of the capacity of local specialists.

✔️At the end of the meeting, the parties signed an agreement on mutual cooperation. This agreement is expected to serve to expand relations with international financial institutions and investors, strengthen Tashkent’s investment potential and create new opportunities for financing promising city projects.
