Left-turn directions have been organized at the Oqtepa Square intersection

In order to facilitate the movement of vehicles, reduce excess distance, and prevent congestion at the intersection, new left-turn directions have been organized at the Oqtepa Square intersection.

Previously, drivers moving from Lutfiy Street toward Nurafshon and Seoul Streets were required to go onto Muqimiy Street and make a U-turn. Now they can turn left directly toward Nurafshon and Seoul Streets according to the corresponding traffic light signal without making a U-turn.

In addition, a new left-turn opportunity has also been created for vehicles coming from Samarqand Darvoza Street.

Previously, to move from Samarqand Darvoza Street toward Lutfiy and Muqimiy Streets, it was necessary to enter Nurafshon Street and make a U-turn. Now drivers can turn left directly toward Muqimiy and Lutfiy Streets according to the corresponding traffic light signal.

As a result, the distance traveled by drivers has been reduced by approximately 600 meters, and congestion arising from U-turns on Nurafshon and Muqimiy Streets has been prevented.

According to calculations, drivers’ travel time has been reduced by up to 4 minutes during normal hours and by up to 10 minutes during peak hours.

In addition, pedestrian crosswalks and traffic lights for pedestrians have been organized in order to ensure the safety and convenience of pedestrian movement.
